Clearance check. Making sure the big o' fat tires fits between the chain stays. Totally adequate amount of daylight (fluorescent light?) there. One of the bonuses of creating a full-scale drawing of each frame that I make is that I can check the tubes against the drawing for fit before cutting and welding. Prevents mishaps. But I do like to double check with the actual components as well. Better safe than sorry.
