Got into the shop for a couple of days this week. I was super productive and whipped out a couple of racks for a bike that I've been working on. The last step before sending the frame off for powder and the racks to the plater.
This bike may have the largest front rack I have ever made. The bike is for a printer, and the rack is the size of a broadsheet, 17"x22". The front edge of the rack is about even with the leading edge of the front tire. Everything is well triangulated for stiffness and strength. Made out of thick walled 4130 steel tubing so it can carry a decent load. The frame geometry is optimized for heavy front loading, low trail and low wheel flop.
Looking forward to seeing the adventures this bike is going to go on...
